Your old one may have been set to a different channel and your new router might be on a noisy channel. You might want to look at what other channels are being used at the same time as your new router. So immediately that tells me that you have a signal interference problem causing the router to degrade to a lower MCS index to support a stable connection as opposed to a fast connection. Knowing the above, your cellphone is telling you that your link rate is only 65mbps which means your actual throughput is even lower. assuming normal overhead with no major interference would be something like.
So actual throughput in a best case scenario on a single 802.11ac antenna doing 20mhz channels with long GI. Off the top, no wireless clients can hit a REAL throughput that equals their link rate due to overhead. Not 600+mbps like your computer can do hardwired. So lets assume you should be getting 78mbps link rate at best since it looks like you are using a long guard interval. The peak you can get off of a single stream 2.4ghz 802.11AC 20mhz channel is 78mbps on a Long GI or 86.8mbps on a short GI. Also, is there anything else I can do to speed up my wifi connection? Is there any way for me to give speed/bandwidth priority to some devices over others that I know don't need it? I tried looking in the router settings and online, but it seems that they removed at least the obvious option that used to work. It seems strange to me that a more expensive router would give me lower speeds than one that costs ~$15 My phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz channel as I like to be able to walk around outside and upstairs and not worry about losing connection. Also, the new router is set up to have both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz channels open, as well as a guest channel.
But only about 3-4 of them should ever be taking up significant bandwidth at a time. There are about 10-20 devices in my house connected to wifi.

My PC is the only one in use most of the time. My setup: I have are 4 devices connected to the router by Ethernet cable. My phone wifi settings say link speed should be 65Mbps. When I checked my PC, it was still getting 600+ Mbps. I can only assume the problem is the router, as with my old plan even over wifi I would never get lower than 45 Mbps. However, at one point I was having trouble streaming video on my phone, so I checked the speed and I had about 10 Mbps download.

I can download and upload things instantly, normally getting between 600/600 and 850/850 Mbps.
